If You Have the Will, Then You’ll Find a Way
I put myself through college and graduate school.
I started saving my babysitting money at thirteen. I always worked one or more jobs through high school and beyond.
Two years out of graduate school, my new husband and I had a dream. A year later we left on our trip around the world.
We bought a one-way ticket to London. A year later we flew home from Tokyo.
We came home to no money, no jobs, no apartment, and no car. But we were rich with experiences that were priceless and life changing.
I’m telling you these stories because they are examples of “if there is a will, there is a way.”
When I tell my clients I believe they can achieve what their hearts desire, I mean it.
Now, not every dream can be realized in this moment. And not every dream will unfold exactly how imagined.
Some dreams may have to be modified.
I dream of living in a house on Cape Cod with a beautiful ocean view. That’s not possible for family reasons (I love them). So, for now, I’m happy living in my beautiful community where I walk around sparkling lakes mere blocks away.
What is it your heart yearns for?
What is it that when you’re 90 years old you’ll look back and sigh with regret?
As I wrote in my book LIFE-KU: 101 Life Coaching Tips, 17 Syllables at a Time:
If there is a will
There is a way, get going
Set your GPS.
I don’t promise it will be easy.
But I know you can do it.
