My Approach
My goal as a coach is to work myself out of a job, leaving you with the ability to “self coach.”
Coaching accomplishes two goals:
- You and I work together to determine the direction in which you want to go and the actions needed to get there.
- While on this journey, you learn tools and approaches to life design and problem solving that are forever useful. By the end of coaching, you are newly empowered and equipped with insights and awareness that will serve you well forever.
My coaching process is:
- We begin with a two-hour conversation, either in person or by phone.
- Within a week of this conversation, I send you a Purpose and Outcomes Statement. This Statement outlines the reasons we are working together and the outcomes you can expect. You and I review this together to be sure we are in sync with one another.
- We then have weekly one hour telephone calls. You also have unlimited email access to me and can expect prompt replies. Phone calls in addition to the weekly calls are arranged on an as needed basis.
- You will be given exercises to do each week that will keep you moving toward your goals and provide you with ever increasing awareness.
- Coaching contracts are for a minimum of three months, which is the shortest period of time for lasting change to occur. You may choose to extend coaching for as long as you want.
- At the end of our coaching relationship, you and I review the Purpose and Outcomes Statement to be sure your objectives were met. (They always are.)
